We give you exactly what you want when you order custom furniture. We strive to give you what you want based on your measurements and ideas. We are not installers; we are craftsmen who install.
For those who don't want a custom design or just like what we have to offer, we offer you the highest quality production furniture pieces that are semi-custom . This means that you can choose from a multitude of colors and features.
We give you the guidance and the knowledge to get exactly what you want without being pushy. Be it a custom piece, an antique reproduction, or a picture of something you have seen, we can build it for you.
We give you the highest quality of lumber, finishes, and construction. We use traditional time tested joinery, such as dove tails and mortise and tenons. Our pricing is better than most high end furniture stores. When you compare apples to apples, you'll find our prices are better than your standard cookie- cutter furniture store. We encourage you to look elsewhere, to get ideas, and even pricing. Then when you're ready, contact us and we will be honored to build your next family heirloom . For the cost of production furniture at most furniture stores, you can get a high quality custom or semi-custom piece when you go with us.
What about time? Well, most people aren't aware that even your biggest furniture stores have a lead time. This means on average you'll have to wait three weeks before your furniture will be in the store. Our lead times are about the same and can sometimes even be faster than production pieces.
We will answer all your questions and you will know exactly what you're getting and how much it will cost when you order. We also offer different shipping options. Our local shipping is delivered by us, wrapped in moving blankets, and handled by one or two members of our team, depending on your needs.
ABOUT ME I am a furniture maker who is fortunate to be making a living at something I enjoy. I own and operate my small shop where I design and build fine furniture. I have been lucky enough to have had the privilege and ability to take on apprentices who have helped me over the years, however, I personally work on every piece of furniture that leaves my shop. I use traditional joinery to produce rock solid fine furniture. My furniture is built with the expectation of becoming future heirlooms and antiques. I use domestic sustainable hardwoods that are responsibly harvested. I buy my lumber from local saw mills and am involved from selection to finished piece of furniture. I allow my lumber the time it needs to come to a usable moisture content. This I believe allows for a better balance in the wood relieving tensions and keeping the wood as stable as possible. I use environmentally friendly finishes which are low VOC's. I personally choose to use a hand rubbed natural oil finish followed up by a clear protective finish. This allows the wood's natural beauty to show through which becomes richer and warmer with age. This natural patina cannot be duplicated by stains and dies. On occasion when my customers ask for a specific color, I will make and mix my own stains and dyes.
