This is a small turned splayed leg table with a variety of elegantly beveled and highly figured maple tops. This gives these tables their light, delicate appearance. I produced these tables using some of the finest tiger maple found in and around Ohio. These designs are based on an antique style of table but re-designed with a more modern appearance that would fit in the homes of yesteryear or today. I use centuries old techniques in a hand-finishing process to bring out the figure of this prized wood allowing the grain to stand out, giving it that old maple color. Only then do I seal the wood with our modern durable top coat to protect this painstaking process and help assure it becomes the antique of tomorrow. The tables maybe used width-wise or length-wise since the tables are beautiful no matter how they are being viewed. In addition to the beauty of these well-made tables, I have designed them to be easily shipped. I have accomplished this by allowing the legs to detach and easily be reattached with hardware that was used for this purpose in vintage tables.
